Information and Referral Specialist:

Recovery Resource Council is seeking to hire an Information and Referral (I&R) Specialist in our Recovery Services department.  Qualified candidates must work well with others, be tolerant, patient, and have excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work at a steady pace with a consistent workload, on multiple simultaneous tasks.  This position is designed for a technical expert who is proficient with the following: Microsoft Office programs, Zoom, HIPAA compliant phone apps, the internet/Google Chrome, and is familiar with electronic health record software.  Excellent communication skills and comfort in working with individuals on the telephone are important.  Unconditional positive regard and a compassionate approach to supporting clients who may be struggling with substance use and/or mental health issues is required. This is a full time in-office position located at our Fort Worth location.

Candidates with knowledge of trauma informed practices, substance use disorders, self-help & recovery groups, and community resources for people with substance use issues are preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Duties include but are not limited to answering a high volume of information and referral (I&R) phone calls in a timely manner, providing current, correct and appropriate information in a prompt, courteous and professional manner. This position includes helping daily walk-in OSAR screening clients with initial electronic health record intake information for individuals presenting for treatment for substance use and scheduling them for their visit with a case manager.  We are seeking someone with a minimum high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred. At least one year of experience in the substance use field and/or crisis intervention activities is a plus.  A bi-lingual candidate is preferred.
